About the role
We are looking for two AI Engineers to design, develop and deploy production-ready AI solutions that solve real-world business challenges. You will work across the AI development lifecycle, from building data pipelines and APIs to developing intelligent applications and deploying machine learning models.
Depending on your experience and interests, you can focus on AI Applications & RAG or Platform, Backend & MLOps. Both positions offer the opportunity to take ownership of solutions from initial prototype to scalable deployment, working closely with cross-functional teams to build reliable, maintainable and high-performing AI products.
We value practical experience and problem-solving skills over formal credentials or years of experience. Whether you have gained your expertise professionally, through open-source contributions, academic projects or substantial personal projects, this is an opportunity to turn your technical skills into impactful AI solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Develop AI-powered applications: Design, build and maintain applications using Python, LLMs and modern AI frameworks.
- Build AI data pipelines: Process, extract, structure and enrich unstructured data using LLMs, embeddings and vector search technologies.
- Develop RAG solutions: Build and maintain retrieval-augmented chatbots, including document ingestion, chunking, embeddings, retrieval workflows and conversational interfaces.
- Build and maintain APIs: Develop reliable REST APIs that expose AI models and inference logic for applications such as semantic search, similarity matching and recommendations.
- Implement machine learning models: Prepare data, engineer features, train, evaluate and deploy classification and prediction models.
- Deploy and operate AI services: Support the full lifecycle of AI solutions, including testing, CI/CD, monitoring, evaluation and ongoing maintenance.
- Optimize performance and costs: Improve the reliability, scalability, efficiency and cost-effectiveness of AI applications and infrastructure.
- Collaborate across teams: Work closely with colleagues from different technical and business backgrounds to translate requirements into dependable solutions.
About you
You are a hands-on engineer who enjoys solving technical challenges and building AI solutions that go beyond prototypes. You combine strong programming fundamentals with a practical understanding of modern AI technologies and are motivated to take ownership of your work from development through deployment and ongoing improvement.
You bring the following skills and experience:
- Approximately 1–3 years of experience in software engineering, data engineering or machine learning, with flexibility for candidates who demonstrate strong practical skills through relevant projects.
- Strong Python programming skills and a solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals, including testing, version control and clean architecture.
- Practical experience building LLM-powered applications using LangChain, LangGraph or related technologies.
- A good understanding of embeddings, vector search and their application in AI-powered systems.
- Experience developing REST APIs using FastAPI or an equivalent framework.
- A willingness to take ownership of solutions throughout their lifecycle, from initial development to deployment and maintenance.
- Fluent English and the ability to collaborate effectively within an international team.
- The legal right to work in Spain, with your NIE and Social Security number available.
Additionally, depending on your area of focus, experience in the following would be beneficial:
- AI Applications & RAG: Experience building RAG chatbots, document processing workflows, conversational interfaces, source citations and multi-step AI applications.
- Platform, Backend & MLOps: Experience with cloud deployment, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, monitoring, machine learning model serving and production infrastructure.
Experience with GCP services such as BigQuery, Cloud Run, Cloud Workflows and Google Cloud Storage, or self-managed Kubernetes environments, is a plus. Familiarity with scikit-learn, pandas, PostgreSQL, pgvector and AI evaluation tools such as LangSmith is also beneficial.
