Do you have experience developing large-scale research tools utilizing Natural Language Processing (NLP)? Do you have a natural curiosity with a desire to apply your skills in working with large volumes of data from a variety of structured and unstructured sources to help solve constantly changing business and customer facing opportunities?

As the Manager of Digital Analytics at Publix, you will lead the development of an entirely new analytics team focused on using methods such as API calls and Python scripting to collect information from digital and connected devices (IOT) and then apply data science techniques utilizing NLP, text analytics, and social listening to infer new insights.

Additional responsibilities include:

establishing and ensuring standards are consistently executed and maintained across all systems, data, insights and analytical solutions utilized by the Digital Insights team
managing the Digital Insights budget
overseeing all supplier relationships necessary to support the Digital Insights strategy

*Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Information Technology, Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Geographic Information Systems, Engineering or another analytical or equivalent experience
at least seven (7) years of experience in analytics, computer science, GIS or similar analytics field work-related experience and
at least one (1) year indirect management experience
expert knowledge of using NLP to infer insights from unstructured data
knowledge of Omni-channel business strategies
basic knowledge of Business Intelligence (BI) tools such as Alteryx and cloud based Big Data tools such as Amazon Web Services, Azure, and Hadoop
knowledge of R Studio and the R Coding language, or ability to perform similar functions within similar statistical tools such as SPSS
advanced knowledge of Python coding, Microsoft Excel, and SQL
intermediate knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau
fiscal knowledge in the context of creating, maintaining and effectively allocating and managing a large budget
broad knowledge of and ability to apply information systems design methodologies, testing, processes and coding languages
strong ability to exhibit a natural curiosity when developing research
design thinking and rapid prototyping techniques
ability to work a variable work schedule as needed including nights, holidays, weekends and extended hours to meet deadlines
willingness to travel up to one week at a time with overnight stays
