As a key member, you will have the opportunity to optimize grid data for load flow computations and develop new methods to accelerate network load flow calculations.
Responsibilities:
– Prepare and optimize grid data for load flow computations.
– Optimize existing grid analysis computations on massively parallel hardware.
– Explore new methods to accelerate network load flow calculations and ensure their practical applicability.
– Utilize GPUs for optimization of existing grid analysis calculations.
– Collaborate on the development of the topology optimizer product, leveraging your electrical engineering expertise.
– Conduct benchmarks to identify bottlenecks and evaluate performance quantitatively.
– Optionally, contribute to scientific publications based on gained knowledge.
Requirements:
– Solid knowledge of electrical… engineering with a focus on load flow computations.
– Familiarity with parallel programming patterns and massively-parallel hardware (GPUs).
– Proficiency in Python, with optional experience in Jax.
– Experience with tools such as Pandapower or Powsybl is desirable.
– Minimum 5 years of experience in modeling energy systems.
– Experience in porting algorithms.
– Strong academic background in electrical engineering; BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Engineering, Informatics, or related field is a plus.
– Fluent in English; additional proficiency in German, Dutch, or French is advantageous.
– Excellent communication skills
