AI Principal Engineer – Lead, Build, Deploy
My client is an Irish B2B SaaS company working with some of the largest financial institutions in the world. They help clients through intelligent automation and AI-driven products. Now they are hiring AI Engineering Leaders to design, optimise, and roll out their next generation of applied AI products and product features.
You will join a growing international team, working closely with Product Managers, Subject Matter Experts, Architects, Engineering Directors and Data Engineers. You will use advanced Large Language Models to build scalable, production-ready systems that power real customer experiences.
What you will do
• Identify and optimise large language models for core product use cases.
• Build and deploy AI features and intelligent automation tools.
• Engineer AI systems that integrate seamlessly across data and compliance platforms.
• Collaborate with agile Scrum teams to deliver customer-facing AI products.
• Lead by example, mentor engineers, and drive coding excellence.
Key projects
• Customer-facing AI agents for global financial clients. (Investment banking etc.)
• Secure data access and streamlining systems. (AI-driven automation to process, secure, and optimize customer data flows, enhancing efficiency and compliance.)
What they are looking for
• Must be coming from a software engineering background. A hands-on engineer or architect is preferred. Ideally someone currently working in a scrum team.
• Deep technical expertise in AI, LLMs, and MLOps.
• Hands-on engineering skills with Python, PyTorch, LangChain, and transformers.
• Strong problem-solving mindset and product focus.
• Based in Ireland or within a similar time zone.
