Swoon is actively seeking a Machine Learning/AI Manager to join the team!
What your day-to-day will look like?
Lead the design, development, and deployment of production-grade AI and Machine learning systems, including LLM-powered applications, ensuring scalability, reliability, and real-world impact.Architect and oversee retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines and agentic AI systems that generate, analyze, and reason over complex legal documents and workflows.Manage and mentor a team of Data Scientists and ML Engineers including managers, driving technical excellence, career development, and high-performing team outcomes.Remain hands-on with coding and system design, including reviewing pull requests, contributing to architecture decisions, and guiding implementation of AI solutions.Work with with Product, Engineering, SMEs, and executive leadership to translate business needs into AI-driven solutions and communicate progress effectively.Define and execute the AI/ML strategy and roadmap, aligning emerging technologies with business objectives and customer value.Establish best practices for model evaluation, observability, governance, and responsible AI, ensuring compliant, auditable, and high-quality outputs in production environments.
What’s Required? / Technical Skills
Hands-on experience building and deploying LLM-powered applications, including agent frameworks (e.g., LangChain) and prompt orchestration pipelinesStrong expertise in retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and working with vector databases (e.g., Elasticsearch, Weaviate, Qdrant)Proficiency in Python and modern ML/AI tooling (HuggingFace, OpenAI APIs, prompt tuning, model evaluation techniques)Experience designing and maintaining production-grade ML systems, including model serving, monitoring, and CI/CD in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)Solid understanding of containerization and infrastructure (Docker, Kubernetes) with the ability to support scalable, distributed AI systems
