Software Developer (m/f) – Computer Linguistics

Overview

As a member of the Avira Language Technology team, you will develop and maintain language technologies for internal use. This varied role will focus on combining a translation management system with machine translation software as well as on designing and implementing assorted language tools.

Your tasks
Research in the fields of computational linguistics, NLP, machine learning, artificial intelligence
Architecture design and implementation for various language technology solutions
Implement and develop solutions as interface between linguistics and technology
Automation of translation and localization related tasks, to ensure a high language quality of our products
Maintenance and automation of internal translation and localization tools

Qualifications:

Your qualifications
You have excellent programming skills in Python, C++ / C#, and JavaScript
You have sound knowledge and practical experience in natural language processing
You are familiar with machine learning and artificial intelligence
You know your way around SQL database management and maintenance
You are interested in linguistics and other cultures
You are proactive, creative and you enjoy working independently
You have good analytical and conceptualization skills
Knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3 is a plus
Experience in working in an agile environment is desired

You speak fluent English
