About the Role
Our client, a cutting-edge artificial intelligence research firm located in **St. Louis, Missouri**, is looking for a highly skilled Senior Machine Learning Engineer with a specialization in Natural Language Processing (NLP). This is a pivotal role where you will be instrumental in developing and deploying advanced NLP models that power innovative applications. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and implement state-of-the-art NLP models using deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch). Build and optimize NLP pipelines for tasks such as text classification, named entity recognition, topic modeling, and summarization. Collaborate with researchers to translate novel NLP research into production-ready systems. Process, clean, and analyze large volumes of text data. Develop and implement strategies for efficient model training, evaluation, and deployment. Work with engineers to integrate NLP models into larger applications and services. Stay current with the latest advancements in NLP, machine learning, and deep learning research. Contribute to the technical direction and architecture of NLP-related projects. Mentor junior engineers and share expertise within the team. Document model designs, experiments, and findings effectively. Requirements Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computational Linguistics, Artificial Intelligence, or a related quantitative field. Minimum of 7 years of experience in machine learning engineering, with a significant focus on NLP. Proven experience with deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras. Expertise in NLP libraries and tools such as spaCy, NLTK, Hugging Face Transformers, or Gensim. Strong understanding of classical NLP techniques as well as modern deep learning approaches (e.g., RNNs, LSTMs, Transformers). Proficiency in Python and experience with relevant data science libraries (NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn). Experience with large-scale data processing and distributed computing environments is a plus. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills. Strong communication and collaboration abilities. Experience deploying machine learning models into production environments.
