Overview
TripAdvisor is seeking a Senior Localization Program Manager to lead localization for our TripAdvisor for Business (T4B) team. T4B builds products and content in 28+ languages that help hotel, restaurant and attraction owners engage with travelers on TripAdvisor, the largest travel site in the world. In this role, you are responsible for helping T4B meet its global goals by ensuring all products and content are truly localized. You will develop and execute a strategy that ensures high-quality localization, as well as supporting global product/content needs beyond translation. You will be part of the TripAdvisor Localization team, reporting to the Director of Localization and this position is based in our Newton, MA office.
Responsibilities:
Establish, optimize and manage localization methodologies to enable truly localized T4B products and content in all languages
Build effective relationships with all key T4B teams to understand global requirements, anticipate needs, influence and drive localization best practices
Identify opportunities to grow the T4B business through localization
Champion localization throughout T4B
Together with T4B teams, develop methods of using data to drive decisions, i.e. localization ROI, language quality
Identify solutions to support T4B global needs beyond transcational translation, e.g. differing payment types per market
Contribute to overall TripAdvisor Localization team initiatives to identify technology, process and tool improvements, efficiency opportunities and drive implementation
Communicate localization status, KPI, key issues and launch plans to key stakeholders across the business
Represent TripAdvisor at relevant industry conferences

Qualifications:
Requirements:
8+ years of localization management experience, preferably in the online space, including desktop, mobile, tablet, consumer and business products
Substantial experience with sophisticated globalization architectures
Proven ability to build, manage and develop a team of high-performing localization specialists
Passion for making decisions quickly in order to seize opportunities that lead the cross-functional team to success. Able to interpret data and trends, diagnose problems, and formulate effective actions plans to support those decisions
A self-starter who demonstrates initiative, entrepreneurship, and tenacity while working independently. You will thrive on challenges and not be deterred by difficult situations. You will work proactively rather than reactively
Able to effectively communicate vision and work with cross-functional teams to deliver on new ideas
Demonstrated experience in successfully leading and delivering large-scale, complex localization solutions for multiple teams in a fast-paced technology environment
Excellent communication skills at all levels of an organization
Quality-focused with high attention to detail
Fluency in multiple non-English languages is a strong advantage
Degree level qualification
Position is based in our Newton, MA office. Travel to our international offices should be expected, including London.
