Overview
Xerox Research Centre Europe is looking for an experienced researcher for its Text Analytics area.
The successful candidate will create – in collaboration with the rest of the team – novel machine learning algorithms for textual data, and help integrate this research – with the help of our advanced development lab – to our business units including healthcare, litigation, customer care and finance.
We expect this research to be top-conference and journal material and are looking for candidates that have a proven record of such publications.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Ph.D. degree in machine learning or related area.
At least 5 years’ experience with algorithms for text processing. More senior candidates will also be considered.
Strong development skills.
Strong publication track record in major machine learning or NLP conferences and journals.
Solid communication skills in English.
Highly motivated by and interested in the impact of research in real-world applications.
Previous experience with interactive settings, for instance involving sequential decision theory, online learning, non-stationary data, dialogue and natural language generation, is highly desirable, as is previous experience of government-funded projects.
