Do you want to work with the most recent machine learning algorithms such as generative AI and develop applications for our sensors, for example, our radar devices with built-in antennas?
You will be part of the Advanced Artificial Intelligence team at our headquarters in Munich, develop algorithms, define the needed software architectures, and prepare your algorithm to fit onto a microcontroller. And this is where you come into play! Sounds interesting? Then apply now?

In your new role, you will:
• Analyze use cases, e.g. vital sensing or people localization, and define the requirements
• Select the most proper machine learning approaches, such as RNN, LSTM, Transformers, contrastive learning, reinforcement learning, and distillation
• Develop algorithms in Matlab or Python for Infineon 60 GHz consumer radar devices and other sensors with the suitability of algorithms for microcontrollers in mind
• Test the developed algorithms, apply XAI methods
• Focus on the reusability and scalability of the algorithms
• Drive improvement of methodology
• Drive the strategic orientation for use case development
• Stay up-to-date on the latest research to bring innovations into our business lines, collaborate with various corporate functions
As a Principal Engineer Machine Learning/ Generative AI for Sensors, you have the passion and the courage to develop new and creative ideas. Furthermore, you have a clear notion of how innovation contributes to the commercial success of the company. Lastly, you recognize and use different areas of expertise of the team members.
You are best equipped for this task if you have:
• Degree in computer science, electrical engineering, physics, or comparable, ideally a PhD
• A professional track record in machine learning, in particular, time series analysis
• Professional experience in data analysis methods and the related tools
• +5 years of professional working experience
• Practical experience on transformers, LLM and AI agents
• Fast to learn and prototype the latest cutting-edge technology
• Capable of developing an innovative technical vision combined with a good business sense of what is needed to make it a commercial success
• Experience with scaling ML-Models from proof-of-concept to production
• Knowledge of FMCW Radar Signal Processing, Audio Signal Processing and NLP is a plus
• Understanding of bringing ML Models to Microcontrollers (e.g. Arm Cortex M class devices) is a plus
