Overview

Our client is looking for a visionary Principal AI Research Scientist specializing in Generative Models to join their pioneering team. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to contribute to groundbreaking advancements in artificial intelligence from anywhere in the US. You will be at the forefront of developing and implementing novel AI architectures and algorithms that push the boundaries of what’s possible. The ideal candidate has a deep theoretical understanding and practical experience in machine learning, deep learning, and particularly in areas like GANs, VAEs, diffusion models, and large language models.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead research initiatives in generative AI, exploring new theoretical concepts and practical applications. Design, develop, and implement state-of-the-art deep learning models for various generative tasks, such as image synthesis, text generation, and data augmentation. Conduct rigorous experiments to evaluate model performance, analyze results, and iterate on model designs. Publish research findings in top-tier AI conferences and journals. Collaborate with engineering teams to translate research prototypes into production-ready AI systems. Mentor junior researchers and engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and scientific excellence. Stay current with the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and related fields. Contribute to the company’s intellectual property portfolio through patents and publications. Identify and explore novel research avenues that align with the company’s strategic objectives in AI. Present research findings and progress to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a closely related field. 10+ years of post-graduate research experience in AI/ML, with a significant focus on generative models. Proven track record of impactful research, evidenced by publications in leading venues (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, CVPR, ACL). Expertise in deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or JAX. Deep understanding of various generative model architectures (GANs, VAEs, Transformers, Diffusion Models). Strong programming skills in Python and experience with scientific computing libraries. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to lead complex research projects and guide a team. Experience with large-scale data processing and distributed training.
