The Language Intelligence and Information Retrieval team of the Department of Computer Science, KU Leuven, Belgium (http://www.cs.kuleuven.be/groups/liir/) has an open position for a postdoctoral researcher starting June or July 2015.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate has completed a PhD in computer science or a similar discipline preferably in the areas of information retrieval, multimedia processing or Web mining, and is acquainted with probabilistic and statistical models, and machine learning. The candidate has an interest in current multimodal representation learning, the integration of multimodal embeddings in retrieval models, and/or information fusion. Outstanding results in prior studies and an excellent publication record are required.
Language requirements:
The candidate is fluent in spoken and written English.
Specific requirements:
He or she will conduct research in the frame of the IWT-SBO project PARIS (Personalized Advertisements built fRom web Sources: www.parisproject.be) and follow up projects.
