Overview
The Computational Biology Scientific Center at the Institut of Biology of Ecole Normale Superieure (IBENS) is seeking for a post-doctoral researcher in *image* *analysis *to join his team*.*
The work mainly consists in the design of dedicated methods, algorithms and tools to analyze complex 3D high resolution images and movies of meiotic cells. The overall goal of this project is to understand the fundamental mechanisms that regulates oocyte vertebrate asymmetric divisions through the study of meiotic spindle positioning.
This work will be achieve in collaboration with the Asymetric division in oocytes team at the Center for Interdisciplinary Research in Biology (CIRB) of the College de France. The successful candidate will work in tight collaboration with biologists who will produce 3D pictures. However, she/he will be part of a computational scientists? team at IBENS.

Qualifications:
Candidats should hold a *PhD degree in computer science*/*pattern recognition/computer vision* and have a good background in in applied mathematics and statistics, a good English level and a perfect knowledge of a programming language such as Python, Java or R.**A previous work analyzing biological images or a previous experience achieved in an interdisciplinary environment such as a research Institute in Biology would be considered a plus but is not mandatory.
