LivePerson is seeking a candidate in the areas of Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Understanding (NLU), dialogue management, and semantic parsing. We have over twenty years of conversational training data to build on top of. This role is based in Tel Aviv as part of LivePerson’s Intelligence Division.

Apply cutting-edge methods of NLP/NLU to learn and derive value from one of the world’s largest goal-oriented conversational datasets

Work on challenging unsupervised and semi-supervised problems related to intent detection, conversation analysis, and dialogue management

Throughout your experience at LivePerson, you will grow expertise in the following:
Proposing and executing applied research efforts integrated with production systems

Designing and building a modern, flexible NLU pipeline

Working closely with the data science and engineering teams to develop NLU for contact center operations and bot automations

Developing measurement strategy, control methodology, and experimental design




Minimum Qualifications:
3+ years experience in ML, specifically in NLU/NLP and semantic analysis

M.Sc. in Computer Science, Computational Linguistics, Statistics, or Mathematics

Experience with statistical learning techniques for NLP (CRF, HMM, LDA, SVM)

Experience with modern Deep Learning approaches to NLP

Ability to work closely with teammates in a highly collaborative environment, as well as providing strong individual contributions

Experience in Python coding, including packages for Machine Learning (Scikit-Learn), NLP (SpaCy), and Deep Learning (Pytorch)

Experience with scripting languages in a Linux environment

Strong written and spoken communication skills

Preferred qualifications:
NLP techniques to solve problems such as conversation analysis, dialogue modeling, question answering, sentiment analysis, entity recognition, knowledge extraction and conversational bots.

Experience with multilingual NLP systems

Research experience in NLP or related fields, e.g. NLU, NLG and/or experience with dialogue management

End-to-end experience from modeling to production to monitoring

Deep learning models with publicly available and proprietary NLP datasets

Machine Learning tools, models for Natural Language Processing applications, experimental design, research methodologies, qualitative and quantitative analysis

Experience with Scala/Java programming
