Many business leaders are now facing the dilemma of how best to quickly get up to speed on what analytics can actually deliver in practice. That’s where Deloitte’s VizStudio team can help.
The VizStudio was established in 2011 with the mission to help clients discover and pursue valuable opportunities using leading analytics and visualization technologies by co-creating rapid prototypes and facilitating actionable insights. The VizStudio team is a part of the HIVE (Highly Immersive Visual Environment) and serves as a global center of excellence for data analytics/visualization at Deloitte.
We work with clients to discover insights through analytics, answer data-driven questions through visualization, and gain perspective through design thinking. To date, we
have created over 200 high-impact prototypes for various clients around the world to help them discover and pursue their newest opportunities.
We are looking to add Natural Language Processing Insights Lead to our team to build the next generation VizStudio Analytics Insight solutions and prototypes using Natural Language Processing and Text Mining techniques
The Insights Lead works as part of VizStudio’s innovation delivery teams to execute against data gathering and analysis priorities. The National Language Processing Insights Lead is expected to be able to work in dynamic and fast paced environment while bringing innovative solutions to clients’ challenges. This individual will be expected to have expertise with advanced analytics and/or development. The Natural Language Processing Insights Lead should also be able to take on certain client facing roles.

Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years’ experience are required; an advanced degree and 3+ years relevant work experience will also be considered.
3+ years of Natural Language Processing and Text Mining experience, using at least one or more of the following: GATE, NLTK, Stanford NLP, and/or OpenNLP.
Experience in Database Development and SQL.
Experience in Data Visualization using Tableau or a comparable BI tool.
Experience in using Hadoop / HIVE / Pig.
Experience managing work streams within larger projects.
The ability to provide various perspectives and approaches in problem solving and recommend viable options.
Experience with developing portions of client deliverables.
In addition, a successful National Language Processing Insight Lead will have the following preferred skills:
Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
Eagerness to mentor junior staff
An Advanced degree in mathematics and/or computer science.
Experience with Tableau, Spotfire, Qlikview, D3, R, SPSS, SAS.
Experience designing for various mobile and interactive platforms.
