Beepi is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Machine Learning Scientist to revolutionize our products using predictive modeling and real time analytics. The ideal candidate will own complex data modeling projects from inception to execution and have a passion for using data to dynamically improve the customer’s experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong programming and statistics background and several years of industry experience in machine learning. Graduate degrees are preferred but strong college graduates are also encouraged to apply if they can exhibit relevant projects. Most importantly, candidates need to demonstrate the ability to analyze large data sets to drive real time decision-making, and show a passion for the Beepi model.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Leverage Machine Learning models to interpret user behavior based on demographic and geographic information, as well as past behavior
Use statistics, NLP and machine learning techniques to create scalable solutions for business problems
Build out real time analytics that dynamically adjust the Beepi product suite to adapt to the needs of the user at breakneck speeds
Develop models for pricing used cars
Build customer segmentation mechanisms based on user and browsing data
Support analytics requirements for different business teams
Design and implement novel large scale structured text processing and information retrieval tools
Design and implement production quality code for mission critical Java server applications

Qualifications:
MS/PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, or Business
3+ years of experience in machine learning or related field
Proven track record of working on complex modular projects, and assuming a leading role in such projects
Highly motivated, self-driven, capable of defining own design and test scenarios
Expert knowledge of SQL. Able to optimize complex queries
Able to execute research projects, and generate practical results and recommendations
Experience with K-means clustering, factor analysis, regression, neural networks, decision trees, SVM, Naive Bayesian classifications, and different simulation approaches like Monte Carlo methods a plus
Experience with scripting languages (i.e. Javascript, Python) preferred • Experience with natural language processing, lexical analysis and semantic processing a plus
