Overview
Is an internship passionate about changing the world’s energy future intriguing? If so, we might have just the opportunity you’re looking for! In this paid internship you will develop machine learning models for connecting the manufacturing process conditions to the microstructure evolution. As such, high-fidelity computational models of the microstructure will be used through the MOOSE computational platform and the MALAMUTE application for advanced manufacturing. In addition, the MOOSE stochastic tools module could be used to perform the active learning and machine learning model development. You will help sustain existing collaborations with other departments and universities. Reporting to the Computational Mechanics and Materials group. This team works a 9×80 schedule, and works onsite at our Idaho Falls campus. Start date and duration of internship vary based on project and student availability. You may be eligible for course credit for this internship if approved by your university.
