What we do at the Data Office

The Cartier Data Office is a team of 20 people working on data-driven solutions for various domains in the Maison, including supply chain, manufacturing, communication and marketing.

As Machine Learning Engineers within our central Data team, we are responsible for ML pipelines in production. We work hand in hand with data scientists, cloud engineers, analytics engineers, as well as business stakeholders, to ensure that we deliver maximum value to the Maison.

The MLE sits at the frontier between Data Science and Software Engineering, he:
• interacts with data pipelines
• understands model architecture
• evaluates model performance
• schedules retraining of the model
• orchestrates the pipeline with automation (CI/CD)

Your mission

We are looking for a Machine Learning Engineer intern. As an MLE you ensure the proposed ML solution is accurately, reliably and… successfully operable by business teams across the entire organization.

You design, build, productionize, scale and optimize ML pipelines.

This is a great opportunity to work on a variety of Machine Learning projects covering different business areas (Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Marketing, Communication, …).

The team operates on a modern tech stack including Google Cloud Platform, dbt, Kubeflow, Python, docker, github, terraform.

Your Responsibilities
• Maintain ML pipelines in production (Operation Excellence, Security, Updates, fixes)
• Contribute to the monitoring dashboard tool
• Collaborate with business teams to help them consume new ML models

Required qualifications
• MSc in Data Science or Computer Science
• Solid theoretical background in statistics and machine learning
• Strong Python and SQL programming skills
• Git, Docker
• A dynamic, innovative & pragmatic mindset to problem solving, and an ability to think critically and objectively, both independently & within a team
• Proactive, curious and autonomous with a strong sense of ownership and always on the look to improve the current solutions
• Willingness to grow and evolve in a constantly changing environment
• Team player, self-motivated and fast learner

Desired Skills
• Several projects and/or internship experience in machine learning engineering / data engineering
• Experience in the luxury sector
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform
• Experience with Terraform
