Who We Are Wavetick is a two-sided marketplace for the sale and purchase of royalty-free music files (tracks and sample packs). Users can effortlessly sell works on a one-off, limited, or unlimited basis and retain up to 90% of revenue. Wavetick is a fully remote company with staff in the UK, Ireland and the USA. Role Description This is a contract (remote) position for a Machine Learning / AI Engineer in Generative Music at Wavetick. You will be responsible for developing and implementing machine learning algorithms and models, conducting data analysis, and optimising algorithms for performance and accuracy. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy machine learning solutions and contribute to the development and testing of our overall platform. We are a fully remote company but are ideally seeking a candidate based in the UK or Europe, due to the majority of our staff working primarily in GMT. Responsibilities Develop and deploy machine learning models… that serve as the backbone for ethical AI driven generative music. Evaluate and integrate new datasets to improve model training and performance, ensuring a diverse and inclusive representation of music genres and styles. Collaborate with product managers to understand existing user needs and translate them into technical requirements and innovative solutions. Conduct research and implement algorithms in areas such as audio signal processing, music information retrieval and generative models for music. Optimise machine learning pipelines for better efficiency, scalability, and performance. Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and computational creativity, applying new findings to product development efforts. Lead the development of prototypes to showcase new concepts and features, working closely with the UI/UX team to ensure a seamless user experience. Requirements Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Music Technology, or related fields. 3+ years experience in machine learning or AI research and development, with a portfolio of projects demonstrating expertise in audio analysis and synthesis. Ability to analyse and manipulate large datasets Solid understanding of digital signal processing, specifically related to audio and music. Knowledge of data preprocessing and feature engineering techniques Experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting A good working knowledge of modern music production and the creator tool market.
