Machine Learning Engineer – 9-Month Contract – LLMs
We’re seeking a number of Machine Learning Engineers to push the boundaries of AI efficiency. Our clients quantum-inspired compression technology can reduce large language models by up to 95% without accuracy loss and slash inference costs by as much as 80%.
Backed by global investors and major EU support, our clients technology is already reshaping how AI is deployed worldwide by cutting costs, slashing model sizes, and making systems faster, greener, and more accessible.
These are fixed term 9 month contracts, working on a hybrid model in Madrid.
You will receive a base salary, plus bonus and retention bonus.
In this role you’ll:
• Design and fine-tune LLMs for real-world use cases
• Develop applications such as AI agents and RAG systems
• Benchmark and optimize model performance
• Contribute to research and share expertise with the wider team
What you’ll need:
• Solid grounding in AI/ML with Python and PyTorch
• Hands-on experience training and deploying deep learning models
• Familiarity with HuggingFace, GPU architectures, and cloud environments
• BSc, MSc or Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Data Science, or related fields.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with designing, training or fine-tuning deep learning models, preferably working with transformer or computer vision models.
• 2+ year of hands-on experience using transformer models, with excellent command of libraries such as HuggingFace Transformers, Accelerate, Datasets, etc.”
• Solid mathematical foundations and theoretical understanding of deep learning algorithms and neural networks, both training and inference.
• Experience with cloud platforms (ideally AWS), containerization technologies (Docker) and with deploying AI solutions in a cloud environment
• Previous research publications in deep learning or any tech field is a plus
• Fluent in English
