Machine Learning Engineer

Holmdel, NJ- hybrid working from home role with 3 days per week office based.

$145-170K plus bonus and excellent benefits package including generous pre-IPO stock options.

To be successful in this role:

You will be a confident Machine Learning Engineer with 2+ years of professional software engineering experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (MS/PhD preferred).

Other requirements for this role include:
• Strong programming skills in C and Python for Linux, with experience in pandas and scikit-learn
• Solid computer science fundamentals, including algorithms and data structures
• Experience developing, deploying, and maintaining ML models, particularly in anomaly or fraud detection
• Familiarity with Agile development practices
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills
• Ability to work in a matrixed organization with global teams, including across US and Asian time zones
• Enthusiasm for learning and adopting new technologies
• Preferred skills and qualifications for this role include:
• Proficient in scalable data structures and performance-oriented algorithms for large datasets
• Experience with tools such as Git, SVN, Jira, and Confluence
• Familiarity with shell scripting on Linux and Windows platforms

Our client is looking for a Machine Learning Engineer to join a forward-thinking team driving the development of cutting-edge Machine Learning (ML) solutions. As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in training, refining, and optimizing ML models, ensuring they deliver real-world impact. This position combines hands-on technical work with opportunities to collaborate in a highly agile and collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities for this role include:
• Develop, maintain, and optimize ML models, with a focus on anomaly detection, fraud detection, and ransomware detection.
• Work with data: collect, manipulate, and identify model weaknesses to drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional Scrum teams to design, develop, and integrate software components.
• Translate research initiatives into production-ready models and software.
• Partner with QA to review test plans and support quality assurance processes.
• Provide technical leadership in assigned areas, supporting both team and organizational goals.
• Support customer-facing teams and product management to resolve issues and ensure successful product outcomes.
