Responsibilities:
Lead research and development efforts in Natural Language Processing, including areas like sentiment analysis, text summarization, machine translation, question answering, and conversational AI. Design, implement, and evaluate novel NLP models and algorithms. Stay current with the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and deep learning, particularly in NLP. Publish research findings in top-tier academic conferences and journals. Collaborate with product teams to translate research breakthroughs into practical applications and features. Mentor and guide junior researchers and engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence. Manage research project timelines, resources, and deliverables. Develop and maintain scalable training and inference pipelines for large language models. Contribute to the intellectual property portfolio of the company through patents and publications. Present research findings and project updates to both technical and non-technical audiences. Evaluate and benchmark performance of NLP models using rigorous scientific methodologies. Identify new research opportunities and potential applications of AI in the company’s domain.
Qualifications:
Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computational Linguistics, or a related quantitative field. Minimum of 7 years of research experience in Natural Language Processing, with a strong publication record in leading NLP/AI venues (e.g., ACL, EMNLP, NeurIPS, ICML). Proven expertise in deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or JAX. Proficiency in programming languages like Python, with extensive experience in NLP libraries (e.g., Hugging Face Transformers, spaCy, NLTK). Deep understanding of various NLP techniques, including transformer architectures, word embeddings, sequence-to-sequence models, and attention mechanisms. Experience in leading research teams and managing complex R&D projects. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively. Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of explaining complex technical concepts clearly. Experience with large-scale data processing and distributed computing (e.g., Spark) is a plus. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) for AI workloads.
