Junior NLP/Data Engineer

We are a dynamic and innovative small-size SaaS company specializing in language data products and services. We are a team of 17, distributed across two offices in Amsterdam and Thessaloniki.

Position Overview:

We seek a talented and motivated Junior NLP/Data Engineer to join our team to design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable NLP and data applications. Responsibilities:

Handle the customization of AI models following the customer requirements.
Handle the preprocessing and cleaning of datasets, ensuring data quality and reliability for training and evaluation.
Apply prompt engineering techniques to augment multilingual data with the help of LLMs.
Support the further expansion, validation, fine-tuning and benchmarking of TAUS generic AI models using various state-of-the-art techniques.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate machine learning solutions into TAUS products.
Stay abreast of the latest advancements in machine learning and AI, especially LLMs, and apply relevant techniques to improve TAUS products.

Qualifications:

University degree in NLP, Machine Learning, or a related field.
1-2 years of experience in machine learning or a similar field.
Understanding basic text processing techniques such as tokenization, stemming, lemmatization, part-of-speech tagging, named entity recognition
Proficiency in Python and familiarity with various ML libraries (PyTorch, NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn) is essential.
Familiarity with Transformer architectures and Large Language Models, reflecting recent developments in deep learning technologies.
Hands-on experience in prompt engineering.
Understanding of data modeling techniques and tools.
Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP is beneficial.
Awareness of data governance, data quality, and security best practices.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
The candidate should be based in the Netherlands.
