Remote Junior Data Scientist Position (New Graduates Welcome) – United States
About the Role:
As a Junior Data Scientist, you will be an integral part of our team, working remotely within the United States. Your primary focus will be to collaborate with subject matter experts, data scientists, and various teams to craft and refine standardized project templates and resources.
Additionally, you’ll:
* Partner with the education team to tailor data science projects for our user workshops and training sessions, ensuring they are both informative and engaging.
* Convert widely-used internal projects into standardized templates, making them accessible to customers and partners.
* Engage with cross-functional teams, including data engineers and domain experts, to collect insights and enhance project templates.
What Sets You Apart:
For this position, we’re in search of a candidate who embodies the following qualities and experiences:
* Possesses a solid foundation in data science, machine learning, or artificial intelligence, demonstrated through academic or project work.
* Has successfully completed full-cycle data science or machine learning projects, from ideation to deployment.
* Has developed tools, frameworks, or content that has found applicability across a diverse user base.
* Proficient in coding, especially in Python and R, and can efficiently work with data science and machine learning libraries such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and scikit-learn.
* Experience in deploying machine learning models into production environments and evaluating their performance and impact.
* Experience working collaboratively with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders, showcasing the ability to translate complex technical details into accessible language.
* A keen interest or background in ethical AI practices, and experience or interest in sectors like life sciences, the public sector, financial services, or similar fields.
* Demonstrates exceptional creativity in problem-solving, a strong orientation towards customer needs, adeptness in technical skills, the ability to manage and bring innovation to fruition, a relentless pursuit of excellence, and a quick learner in fast-paced environments.
