Summary of Role:
Implement statistical and optimization algorithms on multivariate neural network models. Participate in the development of new model features as they become necessary. We will give you high-level guidance, but you are expected to:
Essential Responsibilities:
• Propose / discuss / implement new features and methods for numerical optimization
• Participate in discussions with the broader team
• Survey our existing code and algorithms and suggest improvements
• Code organization and management

• Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety, & Security requirements and programs
Required Minimum Qualifications:
• Education -engineering, physics, or computer science background, at Junior/Senior or graduate level
• Experience – No formal experience required – just have the skills necessary
• Skills – Facility (not just coursework, but extensive use) of programming/scripting (including python scripting)
• Skills – Familiarity with Machine Learning and the concept of multivariate regression, and with Linux/Unix Environments
• Fluency in English Language – written & verbal
Preferred Qualifications:
• Hands-on experience with Machine Learning and Multivariate Regression
• Bash/tcsh scripting skills and High Performance Computing experience is a plus
• Project management skills – i.e., the ability to innovate and execute solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong planning & organizational skills
