Do you want to help optimise our terminology database and machine translation solutions?
Join us as Intern in Internal & Online Communication and become part of the language team which is responsible for supporting employees across DONG Energy with language services. Together with your three colleagues, you will be responsible for optimising our terminology database and our machine translation solutions and for assisting your colleagues with language support.
Internal & Online Communication is part of our Group functions which cover Group Support, Group Finance & Services and Group IT. In Group Support, we focus our efforts on supporting the entire business and ensuring that the company works as a professional, reliable and responsible company.
You will be based at our office in Skærbæk near Fredericia. However, you should expect some travelling to our office in Gentofte in the Greater Copenhagen area in relation to your work. You will work between 30 and 37 hours a week based on your study and our needs. The internship is unpaid and runs from September to December 2015.
Areas of responsibility
As Intern in the corporate language team, you will be responsible for applying your cutting-edge knowledge about terminology and terminology management to optimise our in-house terminology database. Moreover, you will assist in ensuring that the terminology database supports our machine translation solutions.
Furthermore, your key duties will be to:
clean up our terminology database, ensuring that only business-specific terms are included
assess which terms should be included in the terminology database for our machine translation solutions
participate in the daily work in the language team to the extent needed
support the language team with various ad hoc tasks.

Qualifications:
You are studying to become a language professional within eg business communication or web communication with focus on language and terminology. Preferably, you have practical experience with terminology, but it is not a requirement.
As we operate in an international environment, it is essential that you speak and write English and Danish fluently. Moreover, it will be an advantage if you have any German or French skills.
As a person, you have an analytical and systematic approach to your tasks, and you are eager to learn. You are able to work independently, and a steep learning curve is a motivating factor for you.
