Head of Engineering, Platform and Machine Learning

Overview

Job Summary:

You will play a critical role in driving the technical direction, design, and implementation of our platform and machine learning capabilities and lead a team of Engineers to build and maintain scalable, high-performance platforms that support our AI/ML operations. As part of this role you will drive technical projects and provide leadership in an innovative and fast-paced AI-native team

Key Responsibilities:

● Lead technical designs and software architecture decisions primarily for products, provide guidance on engineering topics across ProsusAI.

● Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of scalable, robust platforms that support machine learning product operations and deployments and manage implementation.

● Ensure high levels of system performance, security, and availability. Includes leading processes around meeting SLAs

● Lead, mentor and make hiring decisions for the team of Engineers working on AI systems and products. Foster a culture of continuous… learning among engineers.

● Contributes to the code base and does code reviews to establish and maintain best practices for enterprise software development for AI systems and products across ProsusAI. This includes products, pilots and trials and projects, but also compliance and governance (GDPR, security, certifications, etc.) to enable scaling the tools and products across enterprises.

○ Establish efficient OPs and procedures to deploy and maintain software at scale.

○ Ensure safety and security of the technology platform, secures certifications as needed

○ Enforce best practices for access and management of data assets, ensures privacy and security of data assets

● Work shoulder-to-shoulder with the product organization to deliver on OKRs and roadmaps:

○ Coordinate with product management and other functions to define product and system goals, roadmaps, features, backlogs, release schedules, etc.

Qualifications:

● Proven experience as an Engineering Manager or Lead Engineer, with a strong background in platform engineering and machine learning.

● Solid understanding of software engineering principles.

● Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure), containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.

● Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor team members.

● Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
