Overview

The College of Humanities and Social Sciences at Hamad bin Khalifa
University (HBKU) in Qatar invites applications for an Associate Professor
/ Professor Positions in Digital Humanities/ Computational Linguistics (2
positions available). The successful candidate will contribute courses,
mentoring, advising, and thesis supervision to a recently approved and
accredited MA in Digital Humanities and Societies. The Teaching load is
three courses per year as HBKU is a research-intensive University.

Qualifications:

Essential Requirements
A doctorate in humanities in general and computational linguistics in
particular.
A publication record commensurate with the rank being applied for.
University level teaching experience.
Demonstrated research or teaching experience.

Preferred Requirements
Track record or demonstrated interest in applying the Digital Humanities to
Middle Eastern Cultures.
Evidence of mentoring and thesis supervision skills.
Evidence of building university-community relations.
Experience obtaining grants or research income.

Language requirements:

Fluency in English.

Educational level:

Ph. D.
