We are looking for a Director of Data Analytics in Germany with a specific focus on Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI). The role is a senior level position and offers an exciting opportunity to work with leading-edge technologies, deliver ML/AI-driven solutions and play a highly visible role partnering closely with multiple clients and our Data leadership teams globally. ResponsibilitiesProvide technical leadership and strategic direction expertise in ML and AI, driving the design, development and implementation of ML/AI solutions for clientsEngage with clients to understand their business challenges and requirements, and effectively communicate how ML/AI solutions can address themCollaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, develop datasets and…… apply appropriate ML algorithms to deliver high-quality solutionsLead the identification of new ML/AI opportunities, either through selling solutions or securing funding, by leveraging your technical expertise and engaging senior decision-makersShape ML solutions and properly scope / price engagements, establishing optimal operating models and project team organisation, and leading the transition from the sales process to the delivery phaseFoster and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their satisfaction through effective project delivery, clear communication and timely issue resolutionEngage client stakeholders at the executive / C-level, helping them drive enterprise-wide agenda to maximize growthStay updated with the latest advancements in ML/AI and emerging technologies, proactively recommending new approaches and methodologies to address challenges in the space/markets and geographies in which the clients operateSupport sales / pre-sales activities by assessing Data opportunities, responding to RFP’s, creating proposals and presentationsRequirementsStrong experience in a senior/leadership role within Data & Analytics/ML/AI as well as a proven track record in designing and implementing ML/AI solutionsKnowledge and understanding of different architectures: CNN/RNN, Transformers, LLM, Multimodal, Foundation models etcSolid understanding of ML algorithms, both classical and Deep Learning basedDemonstrated experience in engaging and influencing senior stakeholders to secure funding or sell ML/AI projectsStrong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, capable of collaborating with cross-functional teams in different geographies and building strong client relationshipsTechnical proficiency in programming languages such as Python and ML libraries/frameworks such as PyTorch/TensorFlowExcellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyse complex business requirements and translate them into practical ML/AI solutionsFluent German and English is essentialBachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field or relevant work experienceWe Offer30 days holiday per annumCompany Pension SchemeCompetitive compensation depending on experience and skillsRegular performance assessmentsFitness-First Black Membershipbitkom – Corporate BenefitsEPAM Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP)Great learning and development opportunities, including in-house professional training, career advisory and coaching, sponsored professional certifications, well-being programs, LinkedIn Learning Solutions and much moreFriendly and enjoyable working teamRegular corporate and social eventsFlexible and remote working opportunitiesCertain benefits and perks may be subject to eligibility requirementsAbout EPAMEPAM is a leading global provider of digital platform engineering and development services.
