What you’ll do & Who you are
You will be joining the Machine Learning team in InfoJobs. Infojobs, one of the brands of Adevinta, is the leading Job Board in Spain. The ML team in Infojobs is focused on delivering ML solutions that bring value to candidates and companies within the platform. It is a multidisciplinary team, which includes Data Scientists, Machine Learning Engineers, Back End Developers and a Product Manager.
We are looking for someone to assist the team with an European research project in which we actively participate. The goal of the project is to build tools and guidelines that help to identify, prevent and mitigate algorithmic biases and discrimination in Human Resources processes.
As a Data Scientist, you will:
Explore state-of-the-art metrics and techniques to detect, prevent and mitigate algorithmic biases and discrimination in the hiring sector.
Collaborate with top researchers from multiple European universities and research groups and actively participate in the part of the project which Infojobs leads.
Test and evaluate the resulting tools and software within the InfoJobs platform.

Qualifications:
Requirements:
Interest about ethics, fairness and bias mitigation in Artificial Intelligence
Good level of Python with ability to try out and iterate working code
Knowledge of Machine Learning / predictive modelling:
Understanding of the ML lifecycle: from project definition to deployment
Ability to develop, train, and evaluate predictive models (i.e. classification and regression)
Knowledge about metrics and evaluation pitfalls
Some knowledge of Statistics:
Ranking and evaluation metrics
Interest in counterfactual explanations
English: upper intermediate
Interpersonal communication skills to:
Engage with team members and researchers
Be able to communicate ideas, results and processes to both technical and non-technical audiences
Nice to have:
Knowledge of SQL and DataBases
Experience using GIT
Experience working in cloud environment (e.g. AWS)
Knowledge or interest with Ranking and/or Natural Language Processing techniques
Knowledge about coding best practices
Tech background: Experience working with MicroServices, Model deployment.
