Overview

We are at a pivotal moment in healthcare history. An unprecedented convergence of medical knowledge, technology and data science is revolutionising patient care. Roche is spearheading the next generation of healthcare with partners around the globe. We are bringing together a unique understanding of human biology with new ways to analyse health data. Our vision is to ensure that the screening, diagnosis, treatment and even prevention of diseases will more quickly and effectively transform the lives of people everywhere – ensuring the right treatment for the right patient at the right time.

As a Data Scientist, you will work with unique data sources to generate impactful evidence and insights on our molecules, medicines and patients, that support R&D, and advance scientific and medical knowledge through publications, patents and products.

You will collaborate with peers within the function and across the organization on projects involving NLP, transfer learning, deep learning, convolutional neural networks, transformers, federated learning, and production-grade ML, to name a few of our current workstreams.

The data you work on will be varied in type. The evidence and insights will drive the research and development of our molecules and products, and support healthcare decisions by patients, physicians, health authorities, payers, and policy-makers.

At Roche our teams are passionate about transforming how data and advanced analytics are used to improve patients’ care. If you are passionate and curious about using healthcare data to drive research and development of novel treatments for patients around the world; if you want to use complex algorithms to generate insights from a variety of medical datasets, submit an open application here and become part of the Roche Talent pool for Data Science.
