As a key member, you will have the opportunity to optimize grid data for load flow computations and develop new methods to accelerate network load flow calculations.

Responsibilities
• Prepare and optimize grid data for load flow computations.
• Optimize existing grid analysis computations on massively parallel hardware.
• Explore new methods to accelerate network load flow calculations and ensure their practical applicability.
• Utilize GPUs for optimization of existing grid analysis calculations.
• Collaborate on the development of the topology optimizer product, leveraging your electrical engineering expertise.
• Conduct benchmarks to identify bottlenecks and evaluate performance quantitatively.
• Optionally, contribute to scientific publications based on gained knowledge.

Requirements
• Solid knowledge of electrical engineering… with a focus on load flow computations.
• Familiarity with parallel programming patterns and massively-parallel hardware (GPUs).
• Proficiency in Python, with optional experience in Jax.
• Experience with tools such as Pandapower or Powsybl is desirable.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in modelling energy systems.
• Experience in porting algorithms.
• Strong academic background in electrical engineering; BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Engineering, Informatics, or related field is a plus.
• Fluent in English; additional proficiency in German, Dutch, or French is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills
