As a Data Scientist, your primary responsibilities will include providing AI solutions and developing machine learning models to analyze diverse biomedical datasets and extract actionable insights. You’ll be a vital member of the Machine Learning and AI team embedded within the Biopharmaceutical Development (BPD) R&D, collaborating with experts across various disciplines to create, curate, and analyze datasets. Accountabilities: Developing and implementing predictive models for biologic drug developability and manufacturability assessment. Applying machine learning techniques to analyze and interpret complex datasets related to biologic drug properties and structural characteristics. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including computational and structural biologists and chemists, to integrate data science solutions into drug development processes. Staying updated with the latest advancements in machine learning, particularly in the context of healthcare and pharmaceuticals. Communicating findings and insights effectively to stakeholders and contributing to decision-making processes. Essential skills for this role: M.Sc. in a relevant field (e.g., mathematics, computer science, engineering). Proficiency in machine learning techniques including dimensionality reduction techniques, clustering, generalized linear models, tree-based models, and probabilistic models. Strong skills in Python and its data science libraries including scikit-learn, pandas, Numpy, PyTorch, TensorFlow. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail. Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team environment. Desirable for the role: PhD degree in a relevant field (e.g., mathematics, computer science, engineering). Proven industry experience, preferably in the biopharmaceutical or healthcare sector. Experience with advanced machine learning techniques, including large language models (e.g., BERT, GPT) and graph neural networks. Familiarity with biologic drug properties, structural analysis, and drug development processes. Experience working with high-performance computing clusters and cloud environments (AWS).
