BIG DATA Careers is currently supporting an organization in their search for an experienced manager data analytics. The Data Science Team Leader is responsible for ensuring that our client has the data analytics and modeling capabilities needed to support existing products and to drive the development of new products and solutions. In addition to performing hands-on analysis of complex datasets, this role will have responsibility for directing a team of data analysts and actuaries. In this role, the Data Science Team Leader will interact heavily with Product, Sales, and Operations teams to align analytical output with business objectives.

A minimum of five (5) years of experience developing analytic solutions from identification of problems to understanding of data, model construction, packaging and presentation.
BA/BS Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Marketing, Finance or Business (Preferred: MA/MS Master’s Degree in Statistics, Economics, Marketing, Operations Research or Business).
Extensive knowledge of Test Design, Predictive Modelling and Applied Statistics.
Minimum of four (4) years of experience leading teams or projects.
Proven success managing teams of predictive modelers and advanced statisticians.
Strong business acumen, with abilities to develop strategic and tactical recommendations across multiple areas of the business through research and collaboration.
Well versed in established and emerging Big Data tools and methodologies.
Knowledge of insurance industry preferred but not required.
