The artificial intelligence (AI) team under the Technology division at TransPerfect focuses on providing strategic Machine Translation (MT) and AI solutions to businesses and supporting TransPerfect internal teams with MT implementation.

We are looking for an AI/MT Consultant to join the AI Team. This dynamic and multi-functional role combines the responsibilities of a subject matter expert (SME) on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Translation (MT) to support sales during the pre-sales process and key account & program management skills to support strategic client relationships for both new and existing clients. The successful candidate will act as a key player by consulting with prospective and existing clients to gather requirements, identify opportunities for engagement and present AI and MT-powered solutions to meet complex business needs. Further, the AI/MT Consultant will serve as an SME for internal teams requiring support and guidance on implementing new Generative AI-based solutions developed internally at TransPerfect or by third parties for increased efficiency. This role will be in touch with many different stakeholders, including potential and existing clients, sales representatives, program managers, client service representatives, and colleagues from the AI/MT Implementation team.

Responsibilities:

Act as an SME in sales opportunities where AI & MT is involved; this includes attending and leading client presentations and meetings as well as advising sales teams on the best selling strategies and rates;
Provide consulting to clients to gather requirements and to design custom AI & MT-powered solutions for specific client use cases;
Oversee implementation of MT and AI-based technology and services solutions: proposing pilots, defining the roadmap, setting KPIs, and coordinating with all stakeholders;
Evaluate large language model (LLM) and MT options for both external clients and internal production, coordinating samples and analyzing assessment results;
Conduct market research regularly to discover new AI-powered technology, platforms and solutions that can be applied at TransPerfect for process optimization;
Collaborate closely with the AI Products and R&D teams to develop novel solutions;
Contribute knowledge and expertise to repository of responses to questions from requests for proposal (RFP) and requests for information (RFI) tender and selection processes;
Coordinate all pre-production tasks and liase directly with colleagues on AI/MT Implementation team for implementation tasks;
Deliver trainings on AI and MT to internal stakeholders to share knowledge, industry insights and expertise;
Ensure that communication channels are fluent with clients and with internal teams;
Creation of AI-centric marketing and thought leadership content for publication in webinars, blog posts and white papers

Qualifications:

BS/BA required
Direct experience with MT, Generative AI, LLM, or other NLP technologies, solutions and services
Direct sales, client services, key account management or program management experience
You are familiar with the localization industry and have few years experience working on complex localization projects
Fluency in English, excellent verbal communication, and client-facing skills
Technical mindset and ability to grasp complex technical concepts
Must possess a sense of urgency and the ability to work under pressure
Demonstrate a high degree of attention to detail and ownership
Experience managing multi-faceted projects from inception to launch
You are dynamic, proactive and service-oriented
