Summer School on Convex & Discrete Optimization
We invite you to participate in the DIKU/DTU Summer School on Convex &
Discrete Optimization. This is the seventh in a series of summer schools
organized jointly by the Image Group at the Department of Computer Science,
University of Copenhagen and the Image Analysis and Computer Graphics
section at the Technical University of Denmark. The summer schools are held
in remote locations to encourage interaction between students and teachers.
This year the summer school will be held at Business College Syd on the
small island of Als in the southern part of Denmark from August 17th to
21st, 2015.
The school will offer introductory and advanced lectures on discrete and
convex optimization with a focus on applications within imaging, involving
topics such as Markov random fields, graphical models, convex optimization
using duality, linear programming and relaxations, binary and multiple
label problems, optimization in metric spaces, and much more, plus a range
of applications. Also included: poster sessions, social events,
sightseeing, food, accommodation, and joint bus travel to and from
Copenhagen (Monday and Friday).
