Webinterpret is a leading e-commerce specialist solution that helps facilitate cross-border trade. Its operations center is in Warsaw, Poland, and headquarters in Sophia Antipolis, France. Over the last year, Webinterpret has grown by more than 300% and it shows no signs of slowdown.
In order to support WebInterpret’s international growth, we are looking to build a team of outstanding natural language processing researchers in Barcelona. This group will propose new products and services to sustain WebInterpret’s competitive advantage, as well as enhancements of the current technologies. This job deals with a variety of natural language processing technologies including but not limited to machine translation, summarization, named entity recognition, and information extraction.We welcome your initiative! The initial focus of the job will be the design of the next generation of WebInterpret’s patent-pending automatic localisation solution.

 

Natural Language Processing Researcher

Location: Barcelona

Responsibilities:

Research new methods and technologies that enhance WebInterpret’s technical capabilities
Benchmarking of existing solutions in the market, including cooperation with universities
Successfully create software based on natural language processing that enable new business models
Design, create, test, and document software prototypes
Provide support to the main team of developers to integrate the prototypes in the production process
Provide guidance on natural language processing technologies to management
Must have:

5+ years research experience in natural language processing or related field
MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related degrees
Good knowledge of English
Experience with at least one of these languages: Python, Perl, Java, or C++
Ability to execute research projects and generate practical business results
A passion for e-commerce
 

Nice to have:

Experience with statistical and/or rules-based machine translation (e.g. Moses, Apertium, cdec, Joshua, etc)
Publications record
PhD in natural language processing or related field
Interest in Recurrent Neural Networks
