The Machine Translation team’s vision is to remove language barriers in travel and make every trip hassle free. Our team works at the forefront of Deep Learning and Natural Language Processing and it looks for a product manager who can scale it to various markets at high quality.

Customer Driven Responsibilities:
Finds opportunities to exploit existing product without much development effort
Finds big impact (10M euros/yr) opportunities and prepares years ahead for unavailable resources.
Drive Quality initiatives to satisfy (first) and delight (second) users
Market Driven Responsibilities:
Regularly benchmark with 3rd party solutions and know your strengths and weaknesses
Challenge the team with new problems in Machine Translation and allied NLP domains
Know the areas where skill sets need to be developed and prepare the team to develop them via hackathons etc.
Product Vision & Stakeholder Management:
Articulate the value proposition in terms of business, human, risks, talent pool, competitive edge.
Create Visibility in planning and the outcome
Update clients on model upgradation, migration and educate them on quality processes and Booking’s Language Standards.
Expertise in execution:
Optimizes existing processes and creates new ones.
Builds and maintains Translations Data infrastructure and APIs
Collaborate with Translation Subject Matter Experts




Minimum 7 years experience in product management working at high volume (100k+ daily visitors) ecommerce based companies.
Minimum 2 years experience in building a machine learning product.
Proven track record of successfully managing the entire product lifecycle from ideation to execution to full scale launches.
Have a user-focused mindset that enjoys learning through experimentation.
Proven ability as an effective communicator that empathizes with cross-functional teams, end users, and developers. Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
Previous experience in horizontal products & scalable services preferred.
