Job Purpose:

Data is the foundation of our Digital transformation and enables the creation of business differentiation and clear bottom line impact.
The role of the Director, Data Practice is to actively participate on design and implementation of the TD data insights strategy, to allow the scope of the Data Practice discipline to scale and expand it’s scope to cover more business opportunities and potentially geographical expansion. To enable the creation of impactful insights and automation of next generation business processes.

This will involve Executive level engagement with TD SYNNEX business leaders and with our vendor community to sell our vision and capabilities and create innovative development opportunities.


To lead a data insights practice division – Developing specialist talent to create business impact. Plans, manages and controls the activities of a team or teams of analysts that provides business intelligence and strategic planning support for business segments or the company at large.Directs the activities of a data science team responsible for the design, development, programming methods, processes and systems to consolidate and analyze unstructured, diverse big data sources to generate actionable insights and solutions for businesses across the company. Oversees the development of algorithms and automated processes that cleanse, integrate and evaluate large data sets from multiple disparate sources.
To create competitive advantage through data and its use – Working with business leaders to innovatively drive market development and bringing market leading offerings to market. Advises business leaders by providing data-based strategic direction to identify and address business issues and opportunities.
Actively contribute to our data strategy and culture
Steer the delivery of the data elements of use cases creating multi million bottom line impact. Leads initiatives to analyze complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources. Brings expertise or identifies subject matter experts in support of multi-functional efforts to identify, interpret and produce recommendations and plans based on company and external data analysis.
Ensures that policies and procedures align with corporate vision.




Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

8 to 10 Years of relevant work experience is required.
5 to 8 Years of experience directly managing / supervising employees is required.

Required Education:

Bachelor’s Degree
Mathematical or Economics field of Study preferred

Preferred Education:

Master’s / Post graduate Degree
Mathematical or Economics field of Study preferred

Educational level:

Bachelor’s Degree
