Job Summary:

We are now opening a position for a Senior Research Data Scientist in the scope of the SME Innovation Associate project. The main goal of this project is to extend the application of the Cleverly assistant for Customer Service agents from email to live chat.


Lead the scientific effort of putting conversational AI into current Cleverly product.
Research and adapt new state-of-the-art AI methods to solve real-life challenges in Customer Service conversational AI.
Be up to date with state-of-the-art literature in machine learning and NLP, participating in conferences and sharing knowledge internally.
Work closely with our Head of Research as well as Product, Custom Success and Engineering teams in order to understand the main product challenges, design the most appropriate solutions and support its productization.

Work environment:

The candidate will be fully integrated into the Research team of Cleverly and she/he will work in our Lisbon office in Portugal, on a strategic mid-term vision of the company. At the same time, the candidate will have access to real data from Cleverly clients and she/he will be part of a startup that works in an agile way and develop and test solutions that bring value to the customer as early as possible.

The candidate will be involved in all company events and will have the opportunity to participate in international conferences and training programs.
