One of Americas fastest growing Tech Companies based in San Francisco are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join their team as they continue to rapidly grow their capacity within Data Science. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a PhD in a quantitative discipline, an expert with various Machine Learning Methods, Python and SQL.
ROLE OVERVIEW – SENIOR DATA SCIENTIST
As a Senior Data Scientist at this rapidly growing organization, you will have a fantastic opportunity to grow with the company, have an audience and make a real impact. You will be working closely with a team of product managers, analysts, engineers and other data scientists. As a senior data scientist you will be responsible for employing scalable statistical and NLP methods to develop machine learning models at scale, owning them from inception right through to business impact. You must leverage knowledge of recommendation systems to increased user engagement through personalization of delivered content.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• PhD in a quantitative discipline such as: Statistics, Maths, Computer Science or Engineering (Masters degree considered)
• 3+ years of industry experience in a Data Science or Analytic capacity with expertise in Machine Learning, Deep Learning and NLP methods
• Fluent in Python, SQL and Spark
• Familiarity with AWS, Redshift
• Experience with recommendation systems
• Comfortable working in an agile environment
