Our vision at Idio is to power the perfect conversation. We harness big data, natural language processing, and machine learning to help brands communicate with us, their customers, better. Over the last six years we have raised significant capital from highly regarded VCs and individuals, and have improved the lives of customers for brands such as JP Morgan, Vitality, and Intel. We now employ around 40 people in London and New York.
Idio’s 10-person engineering team is headquartered in London, just off Great Portland Street, and includes remote workers in Bristol, Canada, York, and Germany. Three of the team are R&D Engineers, whose primary focus is our natural language processing engine, written in Scala & Python, using (amongst others) Spark, Akka, Gensim, Luigi and Neo4j. The rest of the team are responsible for everything else: from our real-time event processing pipeline, to the product’s web UI.

Have a strong understanding of, and commercial experience in, Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning, Data Science or Recommender Systems
Are comfortable working in a Software Engineering team, producing production-ready code. Experience of functional programming in Scala is a big bonus.
