Challenges you’d get to work on
Build next generation conversational interfaces platform to support Applications built on conversational input and artificial intelligence
Deploy Natural Language Processing engines specific to the travel and vacation rentals space
Build data models and algorithms for entity extraction from unstructured natural language queries
Deploy production grade Intent classifiers to classify multi-intent natural language queries and conversational input
Write and build modern machine learning data models, including neural networks to preserve and maintain conversational context and intent with a user
Measure and improve end-to-end accuracy of the conversational platform for end user interactions
Serve as the dedicated engineer to the Conversational User Interfaces team here at HomeAway (new team)
Work on larger programs/initiatives encompassing several projects that have a company-wide impact
Assist the implementation and deployment of systems used for natural language input and processing, data collection, machine learning model training, and deployment of machine learning models
Be an authority in Conversational Interfaces design and AI applications built on top of these interfaces
Drive the adoption of and innovation in the conversational interfaces space and shape the next generation platform, products, and applications built around these technologies and devices
Work closely with various Product, Business and Engineering teams
Tailor machine learning solutions to address business problems in a cross functional team setting




Masters or Ph.D in Statistics, Math, Computer Science or equivalent
10+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Machine Learning, Data Science and related fields
Experience with applied Machine Learning / Natural Language Processing / Deep learning in the industry
Solid knowledge of deep learning, text/image recognition techniques and machine learning models
Knowledge of NLP techniques such as PoS tagging, query pre-processing/re-structuring, deep/shallow parsing, etc
Familiarity with bot frameworks and existing Natural Language Engines/frameworks
Experience with programming languages such as Python, R, Java, and Scala
Experience with AWS and distributed systems
Experience with Agile software development
Experience implementing and deploying various Machine learning models
Strong communication skills
