Postdoctoral Research Assistant Position

The Digital Bauhaus Lab (DBL) is an interdisciplinary research center at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. Research areas at the DBL include Information Retrieval, Information Visualization, Big Data Analytics, Data Mining, Digital Engineering, and Human-Computer Interaction. The offered position is considered as qualification position, and we expect the prospective candidate to conduct innovative research, aiming at the relevant international conferences. Possible research areas are Information Retrieval, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, and Data Analytics. Among its facilities the DBL hosts a data center with computer clusters whose technical co-management is one of the responsibilities assigned to the position.
Research in the Digital Bauhaus Lab is done collaboratively: We are looking for candidates that are open and strive for self-development, with a passion for research, teamwork, and leadership.
– Ph.D. in computer science, computational linguistics, mathematics, or a related field with excellent or very good grades.
– active research in one or more of the fields mentioned above
– very good programming skills
– fluency in German and English
