Overview

We seek an interested and self-driven individual to join our team within
the Computer Vision Laboratory at ETH Zurich to work on deep learning
based segmentation for biomedical images. The position is available within
the framework of a joint project between Swiss Data Science Center (SDSC)
, Laboratory for Macromolecules and Bioimaging
<https://www.psi.ch/lsb/laboratory-for-macromolecules-and-bioimaging-lsb>
at Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI) and Computer Vision Lab
<http://www.vision.ee.ethz.ch/en/> at ETH Zurich. The topic of the project
is weakly supervised learning and its application to semi-automatic
segmentation for biomedical images. Particular focus will be given to
segmentation of X-ray tomography images at micron scale and possibly lower.

The position is a fixed term contract for two years. The researcher will be
located within the Computer Vision Lab at ETH and work closely with
engineers and scientists from SDSC and PSI.

Qualifications:

The candidates must have a PhD in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical
Engineering, Computer Science or a related field. Experience in deep
learning models and biomedical image segmentation is preferred. Programming
knowledge in Python and/or C++, and advanced mathematical skills are
essential. Excellent communication and writing skills, and proficiency in
English are necessary.
