The Faculty of Informatics of Masaryk University (FI MU,

applications for two Post-doctoral positions in Computer

The Faculty has a strong interest in attracting applications
The postdoctoral positions are awarded for full 2 years,
shorter stays are not possible. Gross salary is offered at
63,000 CZK per month, which sums to more than 29,000 EUR per
year. Additional funds of 6,000 EUR per year will be
available for travel and material expenses. The start date of
the contract is negotiable, but it should not be later than
the end of August 2018. This call is part of Postdoc@MUNI

Research areas (in the general call): algorithms and complexity,
big data analytics, computer security and applied cryptography,
critical information infrastructures, formal methods,
human-computer interaction, image analysis and processing,
information retrieval, logic and automata, machine learning and
data mining, management of data, natural language processing,
quantum information processing, scheduling and planning, virtual
and augmented reality, visualization.
Potential candidates are strongly advised to informally

submitting their application.
The candidates must hold a Ph.D. degree not older than
7 years at the time of application and, during the past
3 years, they must have worked in the field of research, or
have been Ph.D. students, for at least 2 years outside of the
Czech Republic. Furthermore, during the past 3 years the
candidates must have got at least two publication outputs
registered in the Web of Science or Scopus databases as
“article”, “book”, “book chapter”, “letter” or “review”. The
