Overview

We are excited to offer an opportunity for a role within the King’s College London Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience, the largest academic centre for mental health research in Europe as a Post-doctoral Researcher.

The post holders will be expected to be able to contribute in the following areas, as appropriate to this post:

Extend our capability and software platforms for electronic healthcare record research and direct care, including use NLP.
Advanced data manipulation and analysis capability, e.g. machine/deep learning in R/Python or other available tools, with an interest in data from EHRs.
Excellent communication skills are required to describe and understand requirements, to evaluate performance of outputs within electronic health records research and systems, to support applications for information governance approval, and to provide reporting and dissemination to stakeholders and the research community.
Outreach to spread awareness and encourage uptake at deployment sites, and training of clinician and researcher end users
Outputs including publications in high impact journals and conferences as well as contributing to applications for funding and identifying fellowships, will be encouraged depending on the candidate’s background and interests.
Organise and participate in meetings with local and external collaborators.
Outreach and dissemination at internal and external events.
Writing research reports for publication in high impact journals on the findings.
Develop possible new research analyses, ideas and proposals
Development, evaluation and implementation of computationally efficient algorithms to solve a variety of problems in the use and management of clinical data
