Abzooba’s Xpresso NLP Engine focuses on entity identification, and aspect-based sentiment classification. Developed over the last 5 years by a dedicated and highly-qualified team, it is now in use
in a variety of projects, including Social Media Analytics for a telecom handset provider, a major fast- food chain and a national government, automated e-mail classification for a large retailer and
automated claims classification for a large insurance company.
Duties And Responsibilities:
As a Lead Engineer for the Abzooba NLP Engine, you will be responsible for:
(a) Technical design to take Xpresso to the next level, in terms of adding more features, as well as improving accuracy using machine learning / deep learning techniques
(b) Innovation leadership to ensure Xpresso stays ahead of competition
(c) providing engineering best practices it to make it easier and faster to customize and deploy the engine on client projects
(d) Serving as the Single Point Of Contact for projects in which this engine is deployed, in order to understand customer requirements and ensure appropriate customization and deployment.
(e) Project Management for the Xpresso engine and customizations, using agile methodologies
Skills And Experience:
Expertise in Java (Mandatory)
Expertise in Natural Language Processing (Mandatory)
Familiarity with creating NLP engines to understand contextual insights (desirable)
Expertise in using the Stanford Parser and interpreting the output graph (Mandatory)
Familiarity with other NLP tools, such as Google NLP, OpenNLP, etc. (Desirable)
Familiarity with project management using agile methodologies (Desirable)
Familiarity with Machine Learning using tools (one or more) such as R, python, Vowpal Wabbit, Sci-kit,
Weka, etc (Mandatory)
Excellent communication skills
Ability to think out of the box and innovate
Level of experience (years):
Senior (5+ years of experience)
