PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
The Digital Support Experience-Platform (DSX) is a cloud based micro-service platform to develop and manage cutting edge applications and services to modernize SAP Support. It is based on open standards, such as Cloud Foundry and runs on different Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) layers, such as OpenStack, Amazon Web Services etc. In the DSX team we innovate the way a customer would like to interact with SAP Support through our digital support assistant, which is based on a conversational system via natural language processing and machine learning.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
As developer and DevOps member of our DSX organization you will develop and operate the service offerings for Built-In Support.
As a developer, you will work on concepts and implementations to bring DSX Cloud services to new data centers and new infrastructure environments. You will contribute by driving the technical integration of new cloud products into the DSX platform. You have some depths of knowledge in a ML-driven field – e.g. NLP, Prediction/Inference, etc and you are interested in applying your knowledge and skill set to our platform towards content understanding, behavioral understanding, recommendation systems. You will develop, integrate and use tools for automation, operations tasks and drive the compliance with SAP’s product standards.
You are passionate about the way we develop state-of-the-art technologies and are excited by the application of theory to real-world problems. You keep up to date with the latest developments in the field and look for ways to apply them to your work/role.
Exposure to newest technologies and open-source projects will be your daily life, which requires that you:
Bring in your existing cloud expertise with both development and operational topics.
Develop, review, integrate, extend and operate various cloud services on different layers in different languages such as Java and Node.js.
Create and implement primarily data processing and statistics algorithms, with some NLP and possibly machine learning algorithms
Work on information extraction, Named Entity Recognition or Document Classification problems
Create and update tools used for development and testing
Readiness to analyze issues on multiple layers ranging from applications, services to platform level in the code and at runtime.
Experience with test-driven development, continuous integration
Work on future tools and infrastructure setup for DSX services on SAP Cloud Foundry and SAP Cloud Platform (Neo).
Collect and drive requirements to the respective tools and follow them up
Ensure compliancy with SAP Product Standards
Drive testing and test-automation
Improve Service- and Platform-Management for different setups together with contributing cloud teams
Support tests of cloud infrastructure readiness
Support in further activities to optimize cloud operations
We are looking for a strong, committed, self-motivated, reliable and analytically skilled team player and proactive networker who leads by example and knowledge.
Experience in using, operating and developing on top of cloud infrastructures and services therein, e.g. with Cloud Foundry, OpenStack, AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform
Experience in contributing to open-source products with the will to adopt, use, and contribute to them rather than to reinvent solutions
Strongly convinced of and experience with test-driven development, continuous integration & delivery, committer/contributor model and pair programming, knowledge in using Git. Working experience with distributed systems
Experience with chatbots skills is a big plus
Comprehensive knowledge of a relevant field of research, such as machine learning, statistical modeling, speech processing, natural language processing, machine translation
Experienced with Deep Learning frameworks such as Theano, Tensorflow, Torch etc
Knowledge of using WebSockets, Rest, Spring Framework, Odata
Knowledge in one of the following databases: SAP HANA DB, MongoDB, Redis
