The company is looking for a Data Scientist with strong backgrouns (both academic and professional) in natural language processing, to join their young, vibrant and growing team. The company is offering a great deal of flexibility around where you’re based.
— MISSION —
The role is primarily focussed on analysing historic and real time online and offline purchase
data to deliver information on key KPI’s for the business and its investors.
— RESPONSIBILITIES —
Research, evaluate and present statistical information and machine learning methods to provide actionable insights
Research how to improve customers’ experience, by using our data
Communicate findings to senior leadership and to major stakeholders
Actively contribute to taking the Data function to the next level
Take full ownership of turning discoveries and ideas into machine learning models.
— MAIN REQUIREMENTS —
Extensive experience in working with with Natural Language Processing / NLP / Machine Learning on textual data
BSc/MSc in Maths, Statistics, Physics, Data Science or similar
2-3 years minimum in a data science type role with experience building models and running them in production
High level of Python
Some experience deploying software in the cloud – AWS / GCP
Familiarity with Software engineering best practices – Git & Github, Test driven development
Strong SQL and analytically minded
